Tow hitches provide a super strong and convenient attachment point at the rear of the vehicle to affix snatch straps while performing recoveries. The XTM recovery tow hitch comes with a 4700Kg bow shackle included to ensure you're ready to help out for majority of soft terrain recovery missions. The tow hitch is mounted in replacement of the tow bar, using a locking pin system to secure it in position. The XTM box shackles are made from heat-treated, drop-forged steel to provide maximum strength against forces within their rating. They're also black powder coated and hot galvanized. Purpose built for recoveries, XTM's bow shackles have been designed to accommodate most snatch straps. It is important to ensure tow hitches and shackles are not used outside their rated capacity to ensure a safe recovery effort. Whether you're doing the recovering or you've found yourself in a slight bit of trouble, an XTM recovery tow hitch will save you a lot of time, and get you back up & on your way.
